About Us

Dr Ian Collyer graduated from the University of Oxford in 1996. Following his graduation he worked and trained in various hospitals throughout Greater Manchester and Cheshire.  As part of his training to become a General Practitioner, he worked within general medicine and surgery before undertaking specialist posts in Ear, Nose & Throat surgery (ENT), Accident & Emergency, Anaesthetics & Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

In 2002, Dr Collyer became a full-time partner at a general practice in Macclesfield. He has a specialist interest in Dermatology and non-surgical cosmetics and has been with Cosmeticare since late 2003.Dr Collyer has administered hundreds of BOTOX® injections and Dermal Fillers. He also specialises in a wide range of minor surgical procedures and various treatments involving Intense Pulsed Light (IPL).

As Clinical Director of Cosmeticare, Dr Collyer ensures that only the very best, safest treatments are offered to clients. He takes absolute care to ensure that each patient is fully informed of all details pertaining to the respective treatment he/she is about to undergo.

Dr Christian Wesser moved to the UK to complete his Post Graduate training following his graduation from medical school in Germany. He has offered his services to many hospitals across the North West region.

Dr Wesser worked as a GP in Macclesfield since 2002 and joined Cosmeticare during the summer of 2005 to expand its operations to Wilmslow. He has a proven track record for quality of service and professionalism at our Wilmslow practice where he has been serving since its inception in 2005. His special interests are in Wrinkle Reduction Injections and Dermal Filler treatments.

Gillian, more fondly known as Gill, is no stranger to the beauty scene. She has worked in the beauty industry since 2003, gaining a level 3 qualification in Beauty/Holistic Therapies and a HNC in Sports Therapy.

She has worked with Cosmeticare as a Clinical Assistant since 2008, and independently provides treatments such as Skin Peels, Microdermabrasion and IPL for Hair Removal.

Johan founded Cosmeticare in 2004 and runs the operational and financial side of the business. Johan believes that the success of Cosmeticare lies in “striving to offer a personal and friendly service for all clients, the best clinical care and advice, and to never take for granted the loyalty of our long-standing clients”
